Pleasant walk in this garden with multiple Buddhas. Walk its paths and you will want to go one way or the other, so you do not know or look.... I recommend this garden

Comprehensive 1 day tour

Our guide Chansay was brilliant, very knowledgeable, with excellent English. We only had one day in Vientiane and this tour ensured we got to see all the major sites in one day. Lunch was also delicious

Not much to see in Vientiane and this tour covers most of it. Buddha park was nice although very run down for only being ~75 years old. Lunch was wonderful and being included helped lower the overall experience cost.

Vientiane’s marvels

This private tour was well organized. The guide Chansay was competent and welcoming. The tour was flexible and could be adapted to the participant. Everything was worth seeing. The chauffeur was reliable and the bus comfortable. A walk on Friendship bridge #1 was interesting and appreciated, but could not cross to Thailand my visa being single entry only. This activity a must when visiting Vientiane!

Great tour to start off your first time adventure to Laos

Really enjoyed this tour with our guide Mr. Chansay Nanthavong. Originally thought the full day would be too much but it was perfect. Also had lower expectations for the Buddha Park based on some reviews but I found it to be most interesting and I'm glad it was included. This tour really does hit the highlights of Vientiane and it is a good introduction to Laos and its culture since it was our second day in the country. Lunch was also delicious and you could try anything and everything you wanted. Mr. Chansay has good English and a wealth of knowledge about the history as well as the current culture. The price may seem high but it was actually a good value.

An excellent introduction to Laos

The Buddha Park was beautiful, much more attractive than the photos used in the advertisement. The Golden Stupa is a treat to see. The Copa(?) museum was very informative, especially for an American of that war generation. Our leaders did not tell us about the amount of bombing they ordered. Very tragic to learn about. Sam was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and a nice guy to speak with. Our driver was careful and always nearby when we parked. We would highly recommend this tour😀

Suk is Phenomenal

We had Suk as our private tour guide. He was Phenomenal!! He was funny, personable, thoughtful, and really knew his history of Laos, Buddha and Hindhu gods. He really provided you great insight to the struggles and accomplishments of the Lao people. He was amazing! The food was wonderful! Oh my god!! Delicious! It was amazing way to start our Laos visit. Would highly recommend him to anyone for sure. The best tour guide we have had yet of all of our travels. He didn’t leave our side and accompanied us to get money and purchase art from others. He listened to us when we spoke and provided us with extra stops to see much more along the way. He was amazing. Can’t rave enough about Suk and this tour. His driver was amazing also. He was a very good driver and made you feel safe. The van was clean, spacious and temp cool.

Excellent experience! The tour guide Chansay was very knowledgeable about Vientiene, its history and the tourist spots we visited! Sumptuous food also was served including a taste of Lao food!

Poor value

By Laos standards, this is premium priced, but the quality was average at best. The guide arrived 20 minutes late, without notice, causing initial stress. The guide was friendly and helpful, but not knowledgeable beyond a superficial level when we had further questions. Guide was flexible with itinerary and added additional stops. Driver and vehicle were good

Our guide Sai was very knowledgeable and friendly, and allowed us to make the best use of the limited time we had in Vientiane. I definitely recommend this tour.

Day Tour in Tuk Tuk

Instead of booking tour packages, I booked a local tuk tuk in one of the booking aaps. The tuk tuk arrived at my hotel and we planed the day's program starting with the farthest point from the city center .. the Buddha Park. The Buddha Park is indeed very beautiful park with many historical monuments, I wish the maintenance was tad better. It even has a decent restaurant serving local food. post Buddha Park, we went to Patuxai, Vat that Khao and other popular destination. the main advantage of tuk tuk tour is that you can visit the places, sequence, time etc as per your convenience. the charge is also not based on number of passenger, but based on the places you plan to visit and time you plan to end the tour. So all in all its a good alternative way to explore the city.

Very far from city center, very less than my expectation. The best way to go here is taking bus from morning market

Private Tour: Vientiane City Tour Full Day with Buddha Park

Although the brochure said pick up at 08:00, we weren’t picked up until 08:30, a lot of time as this was my first TripAdvisor tour that l had booked was was worried nothing would happen. As it happened, the tour guide was waiting outside until 08:30, I saw him whilst looking for him outside not realising it was him. The guide was very informative about everything, not only the tour of the temples but also about the history of Laos and answered all our questions that we threw at him. The Buddha Park was great with a lot of history told that stood us in good stead for the temples later. The temples were spectacular and the Golden Stupa was fantastic. It was an enjoyable and informative day and the guide became a friend. I recommend this tour if you’re into temples and history of said temples and Laos itself.

Vientiane Tour

I definitely recommend this full day city tour. Chanxay made my tour of Vientiane memorable, he a very good guide. Friendly and knowledgeable about the history of each visited sites, he is also happy to share any insights you’d like to know about the culture in Laos. He also pays good attention to his client needs. And speaks good english. The car was clean with good air conditioning.

More than what I expected

Hands down the best tour ! Was reluctant to visit and get lost in attractions as a solo traveler. But Mr. Chanxay Nanthavong was a very nice and friendly tour guide, with a great deal of knowledge.

My tour guide, Chanxay, was great. Having a excellent tour guide makes the entire experience great. I saw all the top tourist spots and Buddha Park was the highlight. I would recommend this tour. The lunch segment of the tour was some of the best food I had in Vientiane.
