Fantastic Canal Tour – A Highlight of Our Bangkok Trip!

We had a truly wonderful experience exploring the canals of Bangkok. Our guide was excellent—very knowledgeable and engaging—and shared lots of interesting information throughout the tour. We got to see many of the city's iconic landmarks, but what made the tour really special was the chance to explore some of the more hidden and peaceful areas that most tourists don’t get to see. One of the highlights was visiting a local market on the outskirts of Bangkok, which gave us a real taste of everyday life. This tour was a perfect mix of sightseeing and authentic local culture. Highly recommended!.

More personal as it was private

This trip was worth it 👌 I liked that it was private so we got to learn a lot more and we were not rushed as we took our time. A big shout out 🙌 to our tour guide Kit as he was so professional but also friendly at the same, the tour started as soon as we left the hotel and that is a plus as he did not only focus on the areas he was supposed to show us. Also big ups to the driver 👏 (forgot her name)..

Great way to see canals and temples!

Enjoyable half day

I’m traveling solo through Bangkok and this was a wonderful way to spend a half day during a hot day and during the songkran madness. Kit was a great guide and had plenty of info to keep me entertained. The flower market was interesting and unique. Of course Wat Pho was special and seeing Wat Arun from the water is very cool but seeing a huge golden Bhudda appear in the sky from the longtail boat was awesome! Great views and a fun little adventure in BKK..

Fanatic Experience

Fantastic tour. Kit are guide was brilliant, explained everything so well. The flower market was fantastic and then the boat trip was incredible. Definitely worth the money and so glad we did it..

Flexible private tour

This was a very nice half day in Bangkok. We were able to adjust the schedule since we had already seen Wat Arun, so Kit took us to the Golden Mount Temple instead. Beautiful alternative with great views of the City. We then had a walking tour through the flower market and finished with the canal boat tour..

A relaxed half day option

The beauty of this private tour is having the option to go at your own pace, opt to forego a stop or two, and ask questions without affecting others. Kit was flexible with our preferences (we have been to Bangkok before and were familiar with some of the sites already) and we also appreciate our attentive driver who magically appeared whenever we needed him. We also appreciate Kit’s photos from the tour, and him sharing them with us via email. I would imagine this would also be a great kid-friendly tour given the fish feeding and monitor lizard sightings!.

Wonderful tour

We had wonderful time on our tour. The tour was the perfect mixture of market, temple and canal sights. The guide was kind and knowledgeable, and the length of the tour was perfect for our two children. We loved seeing the giant beautiful Buddha and the Temple of the Dawn, and our children loved feeding the fish in the canals and seeing the large monitor lizards on the banks. Highly recommend this tour for families..

Disappointing

Not a good experience. Excellent guide who did her best but this tour did NOT do what they r promised. It was supposed to include admission to Wat Arun, Palace and Flower Market but went into none of these. It consisted of a boat ride up a very wide nondescript canal / not the narrow atmospheric ones you might imagine - and a long traffic-jammed drive-by the outside of several sights. Finally we did not have a long-boat. Quite disappointing.

One day in Bangkok

Excellent private tour. Our guide Watchira was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a wonderful day in Bangkok. The history, art, culture and much more in Bangkok is simply amazing and Watchira was excellent at showing us around. He spoke excellent English and had a great sense of humor. The taxi ride through Bangkok and the long boat ride through the canals were very well organized. If you have a few hours while in Bangkok, this is a must do trip. Highly recommended..

Fantastic guide and tour

Was a great experience and we had a fantastic guide who told us a lot about the city, history and life in Bangkok. She did a fantastic service and made the experience very enjoyable. What we especially liked was the cruise through the channels and walk through the flower markets..

Touring Bangkok with AYE you personal Thai Tour Guide

My colleague and I wanted to see the sights and Miss Supatsara Wonghong (Aye) showed us around to the key landmarks. She's a wealth of knowledge about Thai history and impresses with her expansive recall of dates and historical info. We toured several temples and got she helped us "skip the line" and got us right into several venues very quickly. That's nice when it's so hot and you don't have to wrestle with the crowds. We toured the canals and got a glimpse of how the working class live, work and worship near the river. Thai people are very friendly and welcoming and Aye is certainly representative of their gracious nature. Transportation was very clean and well air-conditioned, so getting around town in the heat and congestion is done in style..

This tour was very disappointing...

This tour was very disappointing. For the price we paid it did not meet expectations. The visit to Wat Arun was boring and unnecessary - nothing to really see there. We drove 25 mins from our hotel to get there, spent 10 minutes walking around, and left. The guide didn't even bother to walk with us. The tour of the canals on the long-tail boat was great. It's what I had paid for and what I wanted to do. No complaints about that. My question is: Did I need to pay all of that money for just the boat tour, which in hindsight I could've booked myself? No. After the boat tour our driver picked us up and then got caught in traffic for 20 minutes - which to be fair wasn't his fault but annoying nonetheless. He then DROVE up Ratchadamnoen Rd and then proceeded to take us back to our hotel. We were supposed to do a brief walking tour of Ratchadamnoen Rd as per the tour description, but that didn't happen. So, while the boat tour was good, the rest of the tour was a waste of my time. I wouldn't recommend paying what this costs for what you actually get..
